Our Kappa Delta (KD) partners are in full swing of their school year, adjusting to the newness of attending in-person classes once again! Classes, homework, and other commitments have not stopped them from hitting the ground running with their fundraising and awareness efforts for child abuse prevention.
As always, they continue to amaze us with their dedication and commitment, collectively raising $133,673 over the years for the families and children of North Carolina.

On October 1st, the Wake Forest University (WFU) KDs opened the doors at the Millennium Center, welcoming 350 family and friends to join them for an in-person silent auction. The five person committee procured amazing items such as a yachting experience, a Bald Head Island weekend getaway, charcuterie, a picnic basket created by the senior class, and even original art from one of their very own.

“It was so special to have our chapter be physically together this year! We haven’t been able to have an in-person Shamrock event in 18 months, so this was such an exciting night for everyone… We truly love supporting PCANC, and we are passionate about educating our members and families through our fundraising efforts!”

Caroline Kelly, WFU KD Vice President, Community Service

The Elon KDs kicked off October with a letter-writing campaign reaching out to their families and friends, sending out almost 900 letters! While this was a virtual event allowing each sister to manage their busy schedules, sending letters at their convenience, they look forward to their upcoming in person event, “Kaysodeeas”, on October 26th from 5-8 at Elon Community Church.

“We are so excited to finally be together again in-person and are extremely happy with the success of this letter-writing campaign…this organization means so much to us. Our partnership with PCANC is strong, and we are looking forward to continuing this partnership through fundraising, training, and friendship.”

Thank you, WFU and Elon KD chapters, for raising money and supporting national and local child abuse prevention efforts. We are so proud of you and grateful for your partnership.  We couldn’t do this work without you!
