Prevent Child Abuse NC Welcomes Kari Parker as Development Director | Prevent Child Abuse NC

MORRISVILLE, N.C. (July 7, 2022) — Prevent Child Abuse North Carolina (PCANC) is proud to welcome Kari Parker as the organization’s new Director of Development. Parker joins PCANC with over 20 years of educational leadership, business management and nonprofit fundraising experience, focused in corporate, major gifts and individual and planned donor giving, as well as broad experience with nonprofits and child welfare across NC.  

Previously, she has worked with the NC ALS Association, United Way of the Cape Fear Area (New Hanover, Pender, Brunswick, Columbus, and Duplin counties), Boys & Girls Clubs of New Hanover, Pender and Onslow counties and as the National Enrollment and Communications Director for a large charter school organization. Parker earned her master’s degree in Leadership & Supervision from Tennessee Technical University. She was also named among “Wilmington’s Women to Watch” and is a Leadership Wilmington participant. Parker lives in Wilmington with her rescue dog, Bella.  

Parker will be responsible for the overall success of PCANC’s annual fundraising strategies and will design and implement a comprehensive plan for developing external alliances by cultivating individual and philanthropic support.
